This initiative focuses on building and enhancing community libraries in underserved U.S. towns and neighborhoods—providing free access to books, technology, and educational resources for residents of all ages.

Description

Across many rural and low-income areas of the United States, public libraries have faced closures or reduced services due to budget cuts, leaving communities without access to free educational and digital resources. The Library Access & Literacy Project aims to fill this gap by restoring, renovating, and establishing library spaces that serve as hubs for learning, literacy, and community connection.

Each library is equipped not only with books, but also with computers, internet access, study rooms, and community event spaces. Programming includes literacy workshops, after-school tutoring, technology training for seniors, and cultural events to foster engagement.
